About the Author

Jane Reardon is a Los Angeles–based licensed therapist specializing in relationship dynamics, emotional recovery, and personal transformation.

After an early career producing music videos and commercials, Reardon pursued graduate studies in psychology following her own experience with profound relationship loss after the death of her husband from cancer in 1996. That experience became the foundation of a decades-long commitment to understanding how people heal, rebuild, and create meaningful lives after loss.

Since opening her private practice in 2006, Reardon has continued her training through The Contemporary Institute of Psychoanalysis, The Francine Shapiro Institute (EMDR), and the College of Executive Coaching (Positive Psychology). Drawing from both clinical practice and research, she has spent more than twenty years developing practical strategies that help individuals integrate their experiences, strengthen self-trust, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

In 2015, Reardon co-founded the Rx BREAKUP App, a guided 30-day breakup recovery program that reached more than 156,000 downloads worldwide. Building on the success of the app and decades of therapeutic work, she has expanded the program into Rx Breakup: Redesigning Love and Loss, a comprehensive guided recovery system designed to help readers navigate loss with greater clarity, stability, and resilience.

Jane is now releasing Rx Breakup in hardcover and digital editions, with an audiobook to follow, making its proven tools and strategies accessible to anyone seeking a more grounded path through loss, change, and personal reinvention.
